Giacomo Boeri is a director working across narrative and commercial projects. He thrives on open briefs where he can develop the creative from the ground up, building entire worlds with their own visual language and aesthetic.Based in Milan (though rarely found there) Giacomo founded his creative studio and production company, The Blink Fish. He works internationally across Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Latin America through his network of agents and collaborators.
He began his career focusing on fashion films for brands such as Prada, Bulgari, Zegna, Giorgio Armani and Louboutin, and later collaborated with international brands including Ferrari, BMW, Starbucks, KFC and Burger King in advertising. His commercial work has received multiple awards at international film festivals.
Alongside his commercial practice, Giacomo has developed a distinctive voice in narrative filmmaking. His short films have been internationally awarded and distributed, most notably Pater Familias, which won the Rai Cinema Award at Alice nella Città and the Best Comedy Award at the ECU Film Festival in 2020.
Between 2021 and 2025, he wrote and directed his first feature documentary, co-produced and distributed by Fandango and Rai Cinema. The film was officially selected at the Hot Docs Festival 2026.
